Yesterday evening we asked this question to all our Facebook followers:

"TRIVIA QUESTION: Can you list all the Disney Theme Parks in the world (taken individually), from the SMALLEST to the BIGGEST in size? Let's see who gets this right!"

Sounds interesting, doesn't it? If you think you know the answer, feel free to share it in the comments section of this post. We will reveal the right answer (with official figures released by the Walt Disney Company) soon.

As it was recently announced, Universal Orlando has in store for us a new Blue Man Group show that will officially debut to the general public on February 24, 2012 (some people were already able to preview the show a few days ago, and they said it was great). Here's the official press release of this announcement, which contains quite a few photos of the show, as well as some interesting information about it:

UNIVERSAL ORLANDO’S NEWLY-ENHANCED BLUE MAN GROUP SHOW OPENS ON FEBRUARY 24

Enhanced Show Features New Stage, New Technology, New Music and
    New Experiences

ORLANDO, Fla. (Feb. 16, 2012) – Universal Orlando’s Blue Man Group show is taking its unique and captivating brand of live entertainment to another level – complete with a new show environment, new music, new technology and new experiences.

Opening to the public on Friday, February 24, the show will take guests on an incredible journey where they’ll join the Blue Men as they discover, engage and explore the world’s obsession with cutting-edge technology. New sections include Blue Men interacting with “GiPads” (think Gigantic iPads), a funny and perceptive look at contemporary modes of communication; and a pulsating new finale featuring an original Blue Man Group music score that will have guests jumping to their feet.

“The heart of our show is, and always has been, the Blue Man, and his inquisitive, wide-eyed take on the world,” said Chris Wink, who co-founded Blue Man Group with Phil Stanton and Matt Goldman. “Our team of artists at Blue Man Productions has created fun, even astounding new visual aspects of the show, and our music team has given us a great new sound. We are really excited to incorporate these elements into the show at Universal Orlando Resort “

“This show will take one of Universal Orlando’s most popular experiences to a whole new level,” said Alice Norsworthy, Executive Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Universal Orlando Resort. “It’s the perfect complement to the incredible entertainment we offer at our destination.”

Several of the signature moments that have made Blue Man Group one of today’s best-loved theatrical productions will remain in the show, although in most cases, they have also been updated. And as always, the production will fuse innovative theatrical spectacle with improvisation and vaudeville-inspired comedy, art, science and irresistible music performed by the Blue Man Group live band.

“Many of our audience’s favorite pieces, including ‘Paint Drumming’ and ‘Gum Balls/Marshmallows’ will continue to be a part of the production – and yes, the first few rows will still need to wear ponchos,” added Phil Stanton, Blue Man Group co-founder. “But we have developed some brand new elements of the show that provide a larger-than-life, rousing, interactive experience that I hope will really speak to all cultures and give some of our most devoted fans a new reason to check us out again.”

The Disney Parks Blog recently shared a nice news regarding Walt Disney World's newest resort hotel, Disney's Art of Animation Resort, which will open in phases starting from May 2012. Take a look at this post, as seen on the official Disney Parks Blog:

A Marquee Milestone at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort at Walt Disney World Resort

I’m happy to start off the week by sharing a fun update on Disney’s Art of Animation Resort.

Last week, Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI) put the finishing touches on the new resort’s marquee. Measuring in at 46 feet, six inches, the resort’s sign now holds the record as the largest freestanding marquee at Walt Disney World Resort. (Incidentally, it’s 18 inches taller than the famous “HOLLYWOOD” sign in Los Angeles, Calif.).

The photo [seen on the Disney Parks Blog], supplied by WDI, shows three layers of development the marquee went through in its creation – from digital design, to model, to full-scale installation.
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, which will feature four wings dedicated to popular films Finding Nemo, Cars, The Lion King and The Little Mermaid, will open in phases beginning May 31.

Welcome to a new Universal Studios Florida photo-report! We have a few news to share with you, so let's start right away by getting inside the park:

The first thing that we noticed is that a lot of new banners have been installed throughout the park:

Moving over to the new Despicable Me ride:

This will soon be Gru's house (Gru is the "villain" in the movie, which then changes and become good):

This is certainly a step ahead. The facade will be really nice:

We can't wait to see all the details:

Unfortunately, it looks like the back of the building will remain as is. Why does Universal always do these things? Why don't they "theme" the entire facade?:

    On the other side:

The Shrek 4-D moving sign was not working:

Most of the concrete around the park has been re-painted. Yes, it has not been replaced. It was given a new coat of paint. Awkward, isn't it?:

More new banners on the abandoned building near the lagoon:

Work on the new lagoon show continues:

The new control booth has been completed, as walls have come down:

    A close look:

More work is being done across the lagoon as well:

A special event was going to take place later that evening in the park:

This section of concrete is completely new:

    Moving over to San Francisco:

A small crane was seen behind Lombard's Seafood Restaurant:

Hello, and thank you for continuing to read this Universal Studios update (PART 1 can be found here).
Let's now continue this report by taking a look at the current condition of the Amity Village:

Most of the building near guests' areas are still standing:

    Electrical work:

    The photo-op is still available:

We tried to take a look at the destruction that is taking place behind the scenes (the JAWS ride is completely gone) by going to the theaters that hosts that hideous Fear Factor LIVE! show, but this was all we were able to see:

By the way, look at the conditions these poor animals are living in. PETA should go after Universal, not SeaWorld! Hopefully they can force Universal to close this useless show:

    A look back at Amity:

The complete demolition of these buildings should happen very soon:

Some new midway games have been placed in the huge space near the bridge leading to the Simpsons Ride:

This is a good use of empty space:

    Another wall near Central Park:

Work on the new Spongebob-themed retail experience continues, as the interior of the building has been already completely gutted:

The former store sign is gone:

Some new themed signs have been affixed to the walls:

Here's a close look at some of them:

    Opening Spring 2012:

    Spongebob meet-and-greet:

More tables for the special event:

It was a symposium, as you can see:

Going out of the park, we noticed that the track of Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit is quite dirty:

    Take a look:

Somebody even wrote a date in the dust:

We need a "Repaint HRRR" campaign! Just kidding... But the problem remains:

Going to Universal's CityWalk we noticed these nice, new retail stands:

    Their design is very nice:

There are still quite a few older stands nearby:

Work on the towers of the Hard Rock Hotel continues:

...while the sign of the Universal Studios Store is still broken...

That is all we have for now. Check back soon for another new photo-update! have a great day.

The Disney Look... to the Past (September 24-30)
Hello, and welcome to the latest edition of "The Disney Look... to the Past!" Enjoy:
    _________________________________________________________________________

This Week in Disney History: February 17-23

Feb. 17, 1998 Groundbreaking for Rock ‘n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith takes place at Disney's Hollywood Studios
You've scored a tour of G-Force Records to visit the legendary rock band Aerosmith. But just as you arrive, their agent shoos the band out of the recording studio — they've got a concert to get to! Don't worry; Steven Tyler and Joe Perry wouldn't leave their fans hanging. They’re giving you a lift to the show in a super-stretch limo, and this is no ordinary ride. It revs from 0 to 60 mph in less than 3 seconds, twisting through three inversions while zipping by L.A. landmarks like Beverly Hills and the Hollywood sign. You get to the concert, and the band gives you a knowing wink from onstage. Another ride in that limo? Wait a minute; we love that idea. Aerosmith worked with Imagineers to produce the soundtrack, contributing eight classic songs that pump through each limo's 125-speaker, 32,000-watt onboard audio system. Rock ‘n' Roller Coaster was also an opening-day attraction at Walt Disney Studios Park at Disneyland Paris in 2002.

Feb. 23, 2010 “Captain EO Tribute” opens at Disneyland Park
At the height of his career, Michael Jackson collaborated with “Star Wars” producer George Lucas and “The Godfather” director Francis Ford Coppola on a 3-D space epic for Disney. First opening in 1986 at Epcot and Disneyland Park, “Captain EO” stars Jackson as the leader of an intergalactic brigade, captured after crash landing on a strange planet and forced to confront an evil spider-like queen (played by Anjelica Huston). EO uses the power of music to subdue her subjects and change their world for the better. Jackson contributed two songs for the feature, “We Are Here to Change the World” and “Another Part of Me,” while composer James Horner wrote the score. The film closed at Epcot in 1994 and at Disneyland Park in 1997, making way for “Honey, I Shrunk the Audience.” More than a decade later, “Captain EO” returned to Tomorrowland, presented in its original theater with a new 70-millimeter print and improved sound, thanks to acoustical enhancements. The film has also reopened at Epcot, Tokyo Disneyland and Disneyland Paris, giving Disney fans another chance to watch the “King of Pop” light up the screen.

Looking for a great view of Orlando? One of the best views around just got better.

SeaWorld Orlando’s iconic ride, the Sky Tower, offers a spectacular 360 degree view of the park as well as Orlando and surrounding Orange Country. The 400-foot tower was built back in 1974. But now, that view can be accessed free of charge!

Since its inception, SeaWorld guests were required to pay an additional fee beyond theme park admission to take a ride to the top of Sky Tower. Now, as a way to add value to the park’s admission price, the ride is free to guests. The tower, which holds 50 passengers at a time, offers a two-deck, rotating platform that takes guests 350-feet in the air for the spectacular view.

A recording on the ride helps guests pick out different SeaWorld landmarks and adjacent sister attractions – Aquatica water park and Discovery Cove.

On February 29, 2012, Disneyland Park (in California) will give out free commemorative mouse ears to the first 2,000 guests that will enter through the park's turnstiles starting from 6:00 a.m., in honor of the "One More Disney Day," which will last exactly 24 hours. Here are some more information on how to get this free gift:
    _________________________________________________________________________

    Leap Ears

Big news for those planning to spend One More Disney Day at Disneyland Park on February 29: Guests entering the park when it opens at 6 a.m. will receive a limited-edition ear hat commemorating the event, while supplies last. Ear hats are limited to a supply of 2,000 for Guests who enter through the designated turnstiles.

Please keep in mind the following early arrival information for One More Disney Day:
    • Guests may begin lining up no earlier than 10 p.m. on Tuesday, February 28.
    • Guests planning to line up before Disneyland Park opens must park in the Pumbaa Parking Lot on Disney Way between 10 p.m. on Tuesday, February 28 and 6 a.m. on February 29. Please note that the Pumbaa Lot will not begin to offer shuttle service to the East Esplanade until 6 a.m. on February 29. View the Disneyland Resort area map for parking locations.
    • Restrooms will be available for Guests who line up before Disneyland Park opens.
    • A special ticket booth will be available prior to Disneyland Park opening for Guests needing to purchase park admission for February 29. Valid park admission is required in order to enter Disneyland Park and to receive the commemorative ear hat.
    • Commemorative ear hats will be distributed, while supplies last, to Guests who enter through the designated turnstiles beginning at 6 a.m. on February 29, when Disneyland Park officially opens. Limit one ear hat per person, and you must be present at the time of distribution.
    • Please remember that being in line and entering the park does not guarantee that Guests will receive a commemorative ear hat. Ear hats are limited to a supply of 2,000 for Guests who enter through the designated turnstiles when Disneyland Park opens at 6 a.m. on February 29.
    _________________________________________________________________________

As of today, the Walt Disney World Resort has not yet officially confirmed that the Magic Kingdom park will also offer these commemorative ear hats, but we are sure they will do so. One reason why the Disneyland Resort has announced that may be the fact that less people are expected to attend the event in California. This should motivate some to come in and enjoy the event.

Welcome to part 2 of this new Fantasyland update (PART 1 can be found here).
Let's continue to see what is new by moving over to the Little Mermaid's area:

Prince Eric's Castle is already really stunning:

Notice the golden color of the ring that encircles the tallest tower:

Work on the foundations of the Seven Dwarfs Mine Ride continues:

    - Some more miscellaneous work being done around the land -

The demolition of the Fantasyland Skyway seems to be almost completely done:

    A look above the walls:

Parts of the main tower are being removed as well:

There's still a lot that needs to be done here:

These restrooms will soon become an extension of Peter Pan's stand-by queue:

By the way, walls are finally down in Peter Pan's FASTPASS queue:

As you can see, a new ramp has been built to allow people with wheelchairs to access to the ride more easily:
